WHAT IS CHALK-TALK? Chalk-Talk is the visual arts performance in which Ken draws with many colors of pastel chalk for audiences of 20 to 400 people. In 45 minutes he creates 7 individual 3 X 6 foot artworks that can be tailored to specific to specific requests. The show is portable to any space and time schedule. FOR WHO AND WHERE? ![]() Chalk-Talk can be tailored for children, youth and/or adults. You will witness a master artist at work in such facilities as a cafeteria, gym, auditorium or classroom. Ken's teaching techniques are enlightening and useful for teachers and professionals. The presentation is followed by a question and answer session or workshop through pre-arrangement. THE PERFORMANCE Chalk-Talk has audience participation integrated with story-telling, theater and music. Ken leaves finished pastel artworks that can be displayed permanently. The show can feature specific imagery for local history, organizations, personalities, ethnic groups or events. One by one, he turned the boys names into drawings of them...he later gave these drawings to the boys ---and probably made friends for life." Ken is a natural born story-teller who illustrates his long tales and version of the History of Art. In the workshops Ken draws along with the participants showing them step by step techniques in creating images. Ken's collaborative technique allows every student to take risk-free participation in creativity.
